Power Management IC Design Engineer – San Diego, California
Our client is seeking a skilled Power Management IC Design Engineer to join their team in San Diego, contributing to the design of cutting-edge power management integrated circuits (PMICs) for applications in smart devices, IoT, automotive, and ASIC products. This is an exciting opportunity to work on products that are used in millions of devices globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, simulate, and verify power management blocks, including LDOs, SMPS (buck, boost, buck-boost), voltage references, and other analog circuits, ensuring they meet power, performance, and area specifications.
- Summarize and interpret results of complex performance checks and report findings to project leaders.
- Collaborate closely with IC/PCB layout engineers to ensure design performance and quality.
- Perform functional and parameter bench verification alongside application engineers.
- Draft and review datasheets for the designs.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience in PMIC design for automotive and computing applications.
- 3+ years of experience in analog IC design.
- Proficiency with Cadence IC design tools.
- Experience with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMMs), and e-loads.
- Strong understanding of device physics and reliability analysis.
Compensation:
- Salary range: $150,000 - $245,000, based on skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Eligible for performance bonuses and short and long-term incentive programs.
